Language Policy
The Government of Norfolk Island recognises Norf’k as a living expression of the cultural identity of the Pitcairn–Norfolk Island People.
In keeping with the principles of cultural continuity and stewardship, this website provides content in both English and Norf’k.
English is used for formal, legal, and administrative clarity.
Norf’k is used to reflect and strengthen the language, identity, and ongoing cultural expression of the Norfolk Island People.
Both languages are valued as part of the governance and future of Norfolk Island.
